You're running free

Uh, yeah. I know, I suck at posting.
Go check out the MySpace Coheed and Cambria & listen to the studio version of the Running Free.
I guess right now is the time to tell you people out there who the hell I am & what I'm about.
I'm Claudio Sanchez. That doesn't mean much to you because, for all you could know, Claudio Sanchez could be the name of your grumpy next door neighbor.
Now for the visiual. If you see my hair, you know who I am, even from a mile away.
So like I said, my name is Claudio Sanchez. I'm currently 29, I'll turn the big 3-0 on March 12th, 2008. I play the guitar and lead vocals for a band called Coheed and Cambria. We are concidered many things, but we don't care what people lable us. We do what we want, and if they don't like it, they don't have to listen to it. We consider ourselves a rock band, a progessive rock band. I have a brother and a sister, both younger than me.
I'm really shy, even though most don't notice it. I'd rather be alone in my room, reading a comic book or a nice, long book with random pictures here and there, a note book and some loud music, rather than go out and do something out-door-sey. I've always been extreamly seclusive and it's helped fule my writing. I've learned to cope with outside, because I'm forced to go outside every day. I love doing my job, though, don't get me wrong, but I'd much rather doing it inside a venue that I won't get sunburned or eaten alive by bugs, and when I'm done, and drop my guitar, I'd really like to step off into some air conditioning. During Warped Tour, can't really do that.
I write music that tells stories, it's a saga. You can buy the comics at your local comic book store or Hot Topic or on evil ink . net. They're pretty good, and you can connect lyrics to pictures and real words. It's neat for some people, other people are like "this is gay," but for the hardcore followers, I guess they really enjoy it. I got to help color some of it.
I guess what you're looking for is more about me, not my band, even though the band is my life. My goal is to have the Coheed saga done by the time I hit 36, so then I can really have a real life. I can have a real family, rather than a broken family. It's hard on a musician to go and they're used to seeing Mom & Dad every day, and then you see them like.. for two weeks every 3 months. It's especially hard when you're on tour and family dies.
The worst thing ever is when you're on the road, and the glue that held your band together is now gone. Your drummer and bassist can't handle the road any longer, your bassist misses his wife, he's drunk all the time, your drummer has a lot of problems. The glue is gone. I lost my aunt, Toni, in '06. She was the coolest aunt ever, she still is. I can't even express my grief and sorrow now that she's no longer with us.
I guess I'm the type of guy who will probably be in and out of relationships until he finds the one who doesn't get off on his pain. I swear that's just how some girls want to roll. Hurt him & then laugh. But I'm done being hurt. The things that don't kill us make us stronger. And there's times where I was thinking I was seriously going to die, but I didn't, and I'm a stronger, better person today because of it.
What else about me? This has taken me like a week to write this. Maybe I'll tell you about Chondra. [in the picture on the left]
Chondra is probably the coolest person I know. We look like total idiots together half the time. She makes the world's best pancakes, except she wouldn't know, because she doesn't eat them, but I will tell you, she makes up for my lack of cooking skills.
And on another note, I cannot cook. If you put me near a stove &/or a microwave, you're asking me to burn down your house. Seriously. Cook for me, or you're going to not have a house for very long. But I learned how to cook eggs, so I think I'm good for a while.
Ohh & on another note about music - if you actually get into the story (which I suggest is the bestway to ever get into anyone's music), you'll notice in the first two released albums there's a girl named Newo Ikkin. Many fans have already figured if you turn Newo Ikkin backwards, you get Nikki Owen. Clever, huh? You buy the Prize Fighter Inferno album, who's in the Thank You's? Nicolette Owen. Yes, Nikki Owen is a real person. I really went to highschool with her, I really dated her. She's really attractive. You'll see in From Fear Through The Eyes Of Madness that a new character is in the saga, Erica Court. That one isn't so easy for you guys. Let's just say, Erica Court and Newo Ikkin are similar, but not the same person, a lot of you are caught up on this. Newo is not based off of Erica's real character. Erica's character is based off of another person I know in real life.

So anyway. For now, I guess this is enough. I try too hard to be gangsta, I'm sorry. Halloween is the only time I try and don't get beat up.
